Melrose

Melrose, originally from the island of São Miguel, was born in 2001. Their musical practice is based on writing and improvisation with the lyre and voice, seeking to express their subconscious world, navigating the sound waves. At the Vaivém residency, they record their first studio EP, "Almae Sirenes", an analysis of the folkloric character of the mermaid, the search for the demystification of the woman, and the exploration of patterns that the human condition forces us to repeat. Their micaelense roots and connection with nature paint the melody explored in this record, transcendent and hypnotic, with folk facets and pop infusions.
