In this second episode, we focus on a central aspect of issues surrounding sexualities, feminisms, genders, identities, dissidences, and systems: anti-racism. To do this, we invited our friend Jénifer João, a communications professional with a lifetime of personal experiences with this theme.
We talk about the role of white people in the anti-racist struggle, structural racism, and the deconstruction of stereotypes of racialized people. We talk not only about systemic discrimination at a global level, but also at a regional level — especially the experiences of racialized people in the Azores. This episode features musical and literary recommendations, as well as testimonials with a lot of nuance, for which we are eternally grateful for the learnings.
